The facade is being explored, testing ways of which the facade can appear as an element that emphasise the architectural and practical intent of the scheme. Therefore we have tested different timber cladding systems and patterns at 1:1 scale, exploring the balance between being a facade that is interesting in itself, without taking the focus away from the whole.
The tests included more traditional methods of timber boarding, as well as exploring different patterns and systems of e.g. plywood facades.
